Admission Information 2010-11
1) B.E. Course: Candidate should passed
12th with PCM minimum 50% marks with English as a subject.
For Bio-Technology with PCMB, Biology is compulsory.
2) Direct S.E. : Candidate should passed Diploma in Engg.
with minimum 60% marks.

Admission
Documents, Eligibility & Qualification
a) Under graduate course:
- 65% admission by Central Allotment Process (CAP) of Government
of Maharashtra.
- 15% admission for AIEEE quota.
- 20% admission for institute level quota.
- Candidate
should have passed HSC (Std. XII)
examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary
Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics and secured a minimum of 50% marks( 45% in
case of Backward Class candidates). For
Biotechnology course, Biology is essential. For Maharashtra State seats through CAP, a ranking in MH-CET as declared
by the government is essential. Institution level quota seats are filled up by
due counseling as per merit basis.
- OI nominee and J
& K migrant have a quota of one seat in each department. They have to apply to Directorate of
Technical Education, Maharashtra State for release of seats.
- tudents who have
passed three years diploma in engineering / technology as approved by MSBTE or
its equivalent with marks below 60 % can apply for admission to First Year
Engineering.
- Direct admission to Second Year: Students who have passed three years diploma in
engineering / technology as approved by MSBTE or its equivalent can apply directly for admission to second year if
marks secured is above 60%.Vaccant seats are filled as per the norms prescribed
by the Govt. of Maharashtra after the CAP round.
b)
Postgraduate Course
Engineering :
All Engg. admissions are made through merit and performance
in test conducted by department.
Management: 20% M.B.A. admissions to institute level
quota is made through merit basis.80% Seats are allotted through
CAP on MH-CET score.
Eligibility & Qualification
- ME (Mech. Engg.) Machine Design: students should have a BE degree in mechanical /
automobile / production engineering or its equivalent.
- ME (Civil) Environmental Engg.
: Students should have a BE
degree in any branch of engineering.
- ME (E. & TC. Engg.) Digital Electronics: students should have a BE degree in E.& TC./ E.C./ Elx./ Ind. Elx/ Instrumentation/ Electrical/ Computer/ Computer
Science/ I.T./ or its equivalent.
- ME (Computer Science & Engg.): Students should have a BE degree in Computer Engg./ Computer Science & Engg./ Computer Technology/ I.T./ Elx./ E.&
TC./ Electrical or its equivalent.
- MBA Basic Qualification/ Eligibility: In order to secure admission to first year of
two-year full time:
1. MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM course, the candidate should
fulfill the following eligibility criteria: Passed with
minimum of 50% marks in aggregate ( 45%
in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra
State only) in any Full Time Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration
in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities
OR
Appeared for the final year examination
of any Full Time Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any
discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Such
candidates can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the
Degree exam with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of candidates of backward
class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only).
2. Appeared for GMAT / CAT (conducted
by IIMs) /JMET (conducted by IITs) / MAT (conducted by AIMA in February 2010) /
ATMA (conducted by AIMS) / XAT (conducted by XLRI) for seeking admission to
MBA/MMS for the academic year 2010-11. Such candidates are required to appear
for the GD &PI conducted by the Management of the respective institutes
OR
Appeared for CET conducted by
the agency (including Association of all colleges of a particular type in the
State) approved by Pravesh Niyantran Samiti, Bandra (E),
Mumbai-51 for the academic year 2010-11. Such candidates are required to appear
for the GD &PI conducted by the Management of the respective institutes
OR
Appeared for
the Common Entrance Test (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2010), GD & PI conducted by the
Competent Authority of Maharashtra State for the academic year 2010-11.
Note:
To become eligible for admission the candidate
should score 30 or more marks in MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2010 OR equivalent score of 30
marks or more in the All India CET(CAT/JMET/ATMA/XAT/MAT(conducted in February
2010))/in GMAT OR equivalent score of 30
marks or more in the CET conducted by the agency (including Association of all colleges of a particular type in the State).
