About the Department
The Computer Engineering Department established in 1987-88 that offers four years Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering with intake of 60 and currently180. The Programme was accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi for three times in the year 2005, 2008 and 2014. The department has well qualified and experienced faculty members with good publication in National and International Conferences and Journals. The department has recognized research laboratory for PhD with four recognized guides.
All laboratories are well equipped with the state of-the-art hardware and software and Internet facility. The department has ICT Enabled Class Rooms, MOODLE as Learning Management System and Digital Library. Learning material of all subjects is made available on MOODLE.Project reports and papers published by students are made available on Digital library. ICT Enabled Class Rooms facilitates for effective teaching and learning.
Students of the department participate in various national and international competitions and were winners in Smart India Hackathon (SIH) in the years 2019-20 and 2020-21 and also won the first prize in Manthan Hackathon 2021-22.
The department has Teacher - Guardian Scheme (TGS) to assist the students in their learning difficulties and to monitor their academic performance regularly. Teacher guardian acts as a mentor to students and offers them emotional and academic support along with motivation. The teachers of the department take up the responsibility of nurturing the students to face the professional challenges.For placement of the students supportive learning is provided by the department.
Though the curriculum is upgraded time to time by the university to bridge the gap between academics and industry, skill development programs like Add-on courses, Impact Lecture Series, Expert Lectures, and Peer Learning are conducted to enhance the technical skill sets of students.
The department facilitatesinternship and industrial trainings to match the students with industrial requirements. Students are encouraged to publish papers based on their project work as a part of social responsibility to share knowledge.
