College Central Library has a spacious built up area of 1251 sq.mts, with sitting capacity of 300 members. The reading room is well furnished to accommodate students. It has separate reading rooms for PG Students and Staff, boys and girls The Library works from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM on all working days. CCTV cameras are installed in the library for strict surveillance. It has an air-conditioned Library.

The Library has 64753 volumes with 13727 titles of books and about 2023 back volumes of scientific and technical periodicals. The Book bank facility is available for SC/ST students with a separate collection of 2822 volumes along with general library books. The Library also subscribes to nearly 82 National and International journals and more than 4000 e-journals.Printing, Scanning & copying facilities are available in the library. In addition to the above resources central library also maintains large number of yearbooks for the preparation of competitive exams like GATE, GRE, TOEFL and UPSC examinations. Interlibrary loan facility is available through DELNET. Central Library supports departmental libraries in all departments.

The central Library had been automated using SOUL Software (College Version 3.0). The automation is useful to improve and streamline the library operations in a more effective and efficient manner. The Library follows open access system encouraging the user to browse freely in the stack area. One separate node (KIOSK Machine) is made available in the Central Library for Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) facility.User can search the library collection by giving Title, Author, and Class No.. New arrivals of books and journals are displayed on separate stands and racks.

A well-equipped Digital Library with 14 nodes having Internet connectivity is housed in the Central Library for the access of E-Resources. As the access facility to e-journals, e-books is multi-user and IP address-based, students can access the E- resources from anywhere in the campus, as it is wi-fi campus. The library subscribed J-Gate for Engineering and management package. In addition to that, link to scholarly open access journals/database is also available on the SSBT Digital library portal.

The library organizes regular User Orientation Programmes for the library user’s regarding the use of Library Sources and Services. Beginning of every academic year, the newly admitted students are given orientation.
